You are about to embark on the most exciting and formative years of your life - entering your GCSEs and starting to plan for A-Level study and we are delighted to be accompanying you on your journey!

I would like to inform you of our exciting taster day events, taking place online on Monday 6th-7th July 2020. You will be off-timetable for the two days to enjoy the event. The purpose of the taster is to inspire, educate and empower you to know more about the A-Levels you may wish to pursue, as well as possible career and study paths post-18.

The two days will offer a range of A-Level taster subjects across STEM, the arts, music and humanities. We will also hold a session to give advice on how to make choices for post-16 and 18 study; as well as an opportunity to meet our Head Girl Team.

In our Sixth Form you will be given the opportunity to harness your talents as a potential leader and to challenge yourself across a variety of disciplines. The Sixth Form experience will ensure that your excellent academics are underpinned by the confidence that comes from exposure to a variety of wider opportunities, beyond ordinary school life. Therefore on day two, we are delighted to offer you the opportunity to experience a range of wider learning opportunities delivered by our partner organisations who have pledged their support to offer you a wide range of experiences!

You will have the opportunity to join a live personal safety course delivered by Resolve It, take a crash course in DIY with the Salvage Sisters (of Channel 4 fame), immerse yourself in film with our partners - Brighton Film and Screen School or even learn the art of confidence through comedy.

The two days will culminate in an inspirational TED style talk by author Rebecca Reid. Rebecca will talk about the theme of her new book - 'The Power of Rude', and how women can assert themselves in the world, without the fears of being called 'bossy' or 'neurotic'. In addition she will give valuable insight into her work as an editor at Grazia and Metro, and her writing for the Telegraph and Independent newspapers.

We look forward to 'seeing' you all there.
